From the 17th July, the new MQ Curriculum Management System (MQ CMS) will be open for submission of units. We’ll be required to enter information on both new units (for approval) and existing units (for updating and transitioning to new unit codes etc). For existing units, while many details required by the CMS will be migrated directly from the Webforms facility, some unit information will need to be updated and entered manually into the CMS. This includes Unit Learning Outcomes (ULOs), which in some cases haven’t been reviewed recently.
This workshop will provide:
- an overview of the MQ approach to writing Unit Learning Outcomes,
- an explanation of why we’re taking the opportunity to review them now (from student, staff and regulatory perspectives), and
- an opportunity to work in a guided way on your unit’s outcomes to ensure that they align with relevant course levels and provide clarity for students.
Bring your current Unit Learning Outcomes (ULOs) along so that you have some real-life examples to work with.
The workshop is specifically for the Faculty of Human Sciences and will be delivered by Cathy Rytmeister at a special meeting of our Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee. All staff in the Faculty, particularly Unit Convenors, are invited to attend.
- Date: 8th August
- Venue: Australian Hearing Hub Level 1 Seminar Room
- Time: 2-3.30pm
The workshop will be followed by CMS training from 3.30-4.30 (same venue) for anyone wishing to undertake training in the Curriculum Management System
